An after dark inspired silhouette designed in collaboration with team-rider and influential skate scene powerhouse Mark Gonzales, the newly released adidas Gonz Superstar ADV is a custom skate shoe built to combine creativity with a noted sense of performative function. Styled with full-grain black leather uppers for a sleek and streamlined look, these all-black and low collared sneakers pay homage to both the OG Superstar and Stan Smith with the classic shell toe bumper and the perforated 3-Stripe decals. A full length reinforced cupsole stitch supports the rubber outsole and traction focused underfoot tread for exemplary wear, whilst the recessed 7 eyelet lacing system keeps the adidas Trefoil debossed tongue neatly secured across the natural arch of the foot. Tonal stitched seams are in keeping with the profile’s low key look, whilst vibrant and mismatched nubuck Shmoo-foil patches decorate the midfoot quarters of each shoe in shades of pink, blue and purple. Signed off with neon green print insoles and a lightly padded leather lined collar for further structural support.
